Nikon 8.5x56 Monarch ATB Binoculars 7517 Review

Nikon 8.5x56 Monarch binoculars offers an amazing 6.6mm exit pupil and 43.6 relative brightness index As with the entire Nikon Monarch family, the new 56mm Monarch ATB line is fully waterproof and fog proof and features fully multi coated lenses for maximum light transmission and image quality. The new ATBs incorporate Nikon's exclusive Eco-Glass (made without the use of arsenic or lead) for all lens and prism elements.

Review: Nikon Monarch ATB 10x42 Waterproof Binoculars

The Monarch ATB 10x42 are very high good and compact binoculars from Nikon. Outstanding quality for a little price.

The Nikon 7432 10x42 Monarch Binoculars go wherever you go and do their job impeccably, under practically any conditions. Extended eye relief and central focus for viewing convenience Twist out eye cups accommodate eyeglass wearers Field of View - 314 feet at 100 yards Power x Object Diameter - 10 x 42mm Exit Pupil - 4.2mm Eye Relief - 15.5mm Close Focus - 8.2 feet Dimensions - 5.6 x 5.0 inches Weight - 1.31 Pounds

With over 17 years of birding and guiding birdwatchers around the world, I find my self amazed by the quality and general optic facts of this binoculars... particularly because of their low price.

These Monarch binoculars are nice and lightweight and still strong enough for 90% of what I need. I do agree with another reviewer that at distance they seem to have a bit of an aura around the bird I'm trying to watch.

End lens caps are attached so you can't loose them, but in the wind they do get in the way. I haven't done it yet, but I'll probably end up cutting them off. All-in-all I'm happy with the weight, function and value.

Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42 Waterproof Binoculars Review

The Cornell Ornithology Lab which is part of Cornell University rated the Nikon Monarch ATB binoculars the best bet in a mid proced set. Very good light gathering in low light conditions and sharp as a teck from 6' to infinity.

One of the advantages of a full-size binocular is that the objective lens is larger. It lets in more light, increases the viewing field, offering you a better perspective.

The Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42 binoculars offer rugged construction for waterproof, fog proof, and shockproof performance and have a 42mm objective for bright views. 8 times magnification brings objects virtually 8-times closer than your naked eye can see. The Monarch is designed for outdoor use, whether birding, hiking, camping, biking, or virtually anything outdoors.

Fully insulated, the Nikon Monarch reigns supreme in being able to deliver outstanding performance whether you're in wet or dry conditions, hot or cold. It's completely waterproof and fog proof. Of course, it is made by Nikon and that means top optical integrity. This model employs Eco-Glass, an environmentally friendly material made without the use of arsenic or lead.

Every lens surface is multi coated with anti-reflective compounds to maximize light transmission for bright, color-correct images. Eyeglass wearers will be able to use these because they have a long eye relief and flexible rubber eye cups that offers ideal viewing with glasses or without them.

For every active, rugged, outdoor lifestyle, this Monarch binocular is a top performer. Centered manual focus ring is quite easy and convenient even in the most hostile environments A minimum focus range of 8.2 feet offers clarity and detail from near and far Non-slip rubberized exterior provides a comfortable and secure grip 360 Foot field of view at 1,000 yards Unit Dimensions - 5 W x 5-3/4 D / Weight - 21.3 ounces.

Nikon stands firmly on the quality of these binoculars. I highly recommend these excellent Nikon Monarch binoculars and they include a Nikon USA 25-Year Limited Warranty for your long-term assurance.

Nikon Monarch - best binocular

Reviews say the full-sized Nikon Monarch 8x42 binoculars are the best choice for most users. The Nikon's optics are nearly as good as those of luxury binoculars like the Zeiss Victory, though small details like lens caps and eyecups are less convenient.

With 19.6mm of eye relief, the Nikon Monarch binoculars are comfortable for eyeglass wearers. Its 330-foot field of view and 8.2-foot minimum focus, while inferior to those of the Zeiss, are still very good.

The Nikon binoculars weigh 21.3 ounces, and are waterproof and fogproof. The 25-year warranty is non-transferable, but it includes lifetime "no-fault" repairs for a flat $10 fee. (compare prices)

8.5X56 MONARCH ATB WP BINOCULAR User Reviews

This binoculars has all of the winning features of the highly-reviewed Nikon Monarch 8x42. Great image quality, no distortion, fogproof and waterproof, and great ergonomics. It is also not that much more expensive than the 8x42.

At about $300 street (compared to $250 for the 8x42), you're getting a lot of glass for the money. I was deciding between buying this or the Nikon Monarch 8x42. E

ventually, I decided to bear the extra bulk and weight of the 8.5x56 so that I could also use it at night when I go boating.

The 8.5x56 is more bulky and twice the weight of the 8x42, but it pays off for night performance. Highly recommended.

Optics Blog: Nikon Monarch binoculars

In response to a question on our forum, I once again checked the optics of several $300 binoculars, one being the Nikon Monarch 8x42. I've always used the Monarch as a reference standard over the past couple years and, once again, it amazed me. A $300 should not be this good.

I recommend this as the best $300 roof prism binocular for two reasons. First, the Monarch consistently outscores other $300 roof prisms in its price range for optical resolution, even putting some binoculars costing two and three times as much to shame.

Edge to edge sharpness is also good for a binocular at this price as is image brightness. Second, the optical quality of the Monarch has been very consistent over these two years of testing. This is still the one to beat for the price.

Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42 Binoculars

The Nikon Monarch's are "...clearly the top-rated of any mid-priced, full-power birding binoculars. These lightweight, waterproof, and very comfortable binoculars focus down to 6 feet (they were given the name ?Monarch? to attract butterfly watchers) and offer an image and feel that surpasses many models costing two or three times more.

Only in a direct comparison with the top-priced binoculars could our reviewers discern the narrower, slightly duller image, which was not quite sharp at the edges. But with a street price well under $300, the Monarchs are a steal." Our Review:We are very happy with the Monarch's.

TheNikon Monarch Binoculars image is fantastic, the bins are very comfortable to hold and we love that they are waterproof/fogproof/shockproof. You can feel that they are constructed well and are rugged enough to take some outdoor abuse. I really don't think you can beat the Nikon Monarch's for the price unless you consider something like these Zeiss 8x42 FL T Binoculars (over $1,000).We use our Monarch's for bird watching, but we know that hunters also love them for their crisp, clear images and lightweight, rugged construction as well.

Nikon Monarch Laser800 Team Realtree Waterproof Binoculars

Nikon Monarch Laser 800 Team Realtree Laser Rangefinder 8357 is the latest state-of-the-art rangefinder from Nikon, and it is now available from OpticsPlanet.com online Optics Store..If you’ve ever had to rely on a rangefinder to make accurate measurements in the field, you know how finicky and difficult they can be to use under certain circumstances.

The result is that the hunter is constantly guessing what his rangefinder is actually ranging. Was it the deer or the trees behind the deer? Was the range to the prairie dog or the mound 20 yards behind the dog? With an understanding of what these tough measuring tasks can mean in the field, Nikon, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sport optics, has developed the Nikon Waterproof / Fogproof Monarch Laser800 rangefinder.

These Nikon Monarch rangefinders feature a blend of cutting edge technology, painstaking design and rugged construction to provide hunters with a new level of ranging accuracy.Featuring Nikon’s revolutionary Tru-Target (TT) Ranging System, the Nikon Monarch Laser800 range finder allows hunters to prioritize smaller and harder to range targets at the push of a button. In the First Target Priority mode, hunters can confidently range objects as small as fence posts or get an instant reading on that lone buck in the meadow.

The Distant Target Priority mode determines range to the farthest target the laser beam reaches, ideal for accurate ranging in typical hunting situations where game animals may be partially obscured by grass or brush. The rangefinder’s unique reticle design also signals the user when ranging is in progress. The Monarch Laser800 rangefinders utilizes Nikon’s original digital processor to provide faster, more accurate measurements in hunting conditions. The benefits of this digital processor are incredible 1/2-yard accuracy and unmatched consistency unlike typical rangefinders that use an analog processor, Nikon’s original digital processor is unaffected by extremes in temperatures, so consistent ranging can be accomplished in even the toughest hunting conditions. Monarch Laser800 rangefinders measure ranges in either yards or meters, has full scanning capability and features an automatic power shutoff after the reading has been displayed for eight seconds.

Nikon’s Monarch Laser800 laser rangefinders feature a six power monocular with precisely ground and polished lens glass that is multicoated with anti-reflective compounds to improve light transmission, clarity, and color rendition. Monarch Laser800 rangefinder is utilizing a 21 millimeter objective lens, the rangefinder provides an exit pupil of 3.5mm for maximum brightness under less-than-ideal lighting conditions.

The eyepiece is adjustable, with a range of +/- 4 diopters, and has 18mm of eye relief and folds down for use with eyeglasses. In addition, the Nikon Monarch Laser800 laser rangefinders has a real angle of view of 6.0 degrees, translating to a wide, 36 degree apparent angle of view and a field of view of 315 feet at 1000 yards. The Nikon Laser800 rangefinder measures 5” x 2.8” x 1.5” and weighs 7.4 ounces without battery. Nikon Monarch Laser800 laser rangefinder is powered by one CR-2 lithium camera battery that is included with the rangefinder and an internal display shows the user how much battery power is remaining.
